My song is a piano-type pop song, kinda similar to Because of you by Kelly Clarkson, but not a ballad and quite a bit more up-tempo Its a very nice song, with nice lyrics, and I quite like it It is quite understated, and hopefully it won't get forgotten. Its by an American singer, who I only discovered recently but after a few listens this song inparticular grew on me, and I downloaded the album, which I don't regret because it is very good.

State of the Ark's entry is kinda rock It's a Swedish song sung in English by a Swedish "duo". This is the first time they are working together. Actually, one of them is the lead singer of a well-known non-Swedish rock band. (Btw, this singer and I have one thing in common )

After getting second and qualifying for the next final with a European singer, I decided to send an American female singer. This song is from her debut album I think. She's saying "no more" to her man and the title is a phrase that sounds like a threat when you first read it.

Jacuvia's fifth entry is a 50s style jazzy type pop song by a rising British star. Her songs have featured on Desperate Housewives, The Hills and a French bank advert. She took part in the War Child charity single and has had little chart success on her own.

Icelandic indie-pop artist. The artist has featured at a movie (actually some other Icelandic artist had to sing that song, but the artist couldn't do that because of health reasons).
The song is from the artist's new album and isn't that famous right now. But I do enjoy that song. It's very indie popish.

Well, I will vote anyway but I do agree with Arben that the host of the contest should vote publicly before everyone else.
Especially these days that so many new countries (i.e. people that not all of us know/trust) participate in the contest, I'd like to be sure that everything is out in the open.
For the record, I do trust jw, so this isn't about him but about the general good of the contest.

PS If the host changes his mind at some point, he can always post his new votes.

It didn't influence people's votes in the first 7 editions

It would be ideal if the votes weren't accessible by the host until the end of voting, thus having no need to post any votes publicly. That way people who are unsure about the current method would have peace of mind.

Myself, personally, I don't have a problem with the way that the votes are kept at the moment. If I was the host I wouldn't want to have my votes influencing the way people see the songs.
